Minister's Message

Welcome remarks by Hon. Dora Siliya MP
I wish to welcome you to the Ministry’s website. On this site you will find information on the policies that the Ministry is implementing, projects and programmes that are supported by Government and our cooperating partners. The website also provides information on all the Institutions under the Ministry and legislation that governs their establishment. You will also be able to download reports, statistics and other publications. However, note that the site is still under construction.

Quality, lifelong education for all which is accessible, inclusive and relevant to individual, national and global needs and value systems.
 
Mission Statement
The mission of the Ministry of Education is to guide the provision of education for all Zambians so that they are able to pursue knowledge and skills, manifest excellence in performance and moral uprightness, defend democratic ideals, and accept and value other persons on the basis of their personal worth and dignity, irrespective of gender, religion, ethnic origin, or any other discriminatory characteristic.

Ministry of Education gets new Deputy Minister

The President of the Republic of Zambia in his recent Cabinet reshuffles appointed a second Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Education. Hon. Richard Taima was recently appointed as Deputy Minister to join the other Deputy Minister who is Hon. Clement Sinyinda.
