In an effort to engage the private sector in meeting the 1000 megawatts target of additional electricity by December 2025, the Minister of Energy, Mr. Makozo Chikote, today met with Ecobank’s senior management. The team, led by Ecobank Zambia Managing Director Aina Moore and Ecobank Tanzania Managing Director Charles Asiedu discussed areas of potential investment and support in the energy sector. Ecobank committed to participating in mitigating Zambia’s energy deficit.
The minister urged Ecobank to support the private sector investment in solar power.
