An Israeli company, Liberty Grid Solutions, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Shiri Droi Kihan, has expressed interest in investing in Zambia’s renewable energy sector following a visit to the Ministry of Energy.
Amb Hazemba Mahuba was part of the delegation.
The company, which specialises in rooftop solar installations among other clean energy solutions, held discussions with technical experts from the Department of Energy led by Assistant Energy Director Brian Mainza.
During the meeting, Mr. Mainza welcomed the interest and encouraged the firm to prioritise skills transfer by empowering Zambians with technical knowledge in areas such as solar equipment installation, in line with Government’s broader objective of building local capacity in the renewable energy industry.
